Best City in the World

best-city-in-the-worldI was recently asked to write a post for Tourism Sydney’s Best City in the World blog which was very, very, very exciting.

Here is my story, live on the interwebs: http://bestcityintheworld.wordpress.com/

A lady named Jeanette asked me to expand on which streets/suburbs I was referring to in this post. Well, my friends, I was being a little obscure but here is where my imagination was when I was conjuring up this story.

Inner West – Illawarra Rd (especially Pho Bac) and Marrickville Rd, Marrickville and Liverpool Rd, Ashfield

Outer West – Auburn Rd, Auburn (especially Mado Cafe)

Little Italy – Ramsay St, Haberfield (especially the IGA and Papa Pasticceria)

City – Darlinghurst Rd, Kings Cross

Eastern Suburbs – Cross St, Double Bay (especially Simmone Logue)

Hope this helps you find your perfect piece of Sydney!

  1. I love Sydney, having lived there all my life prior to these last 5 years in Melbourne.
I miss it dreadfully and never tired of cycling along Pittwater Road, past Long Reef, Collaroy and Narrabeen; driving across the Harbour Bridge (more fun that the tunnel), catching the ferry to the Opera House (used to work there) and walking down to Balmoral Beach with the family for fish and chips (used to live in Mosman).
I confess I also lived in Marrickville for one year, and it was like living in a different country, but I also feel that way about Melbourne, as lovely as it is.
