Sometimes you just need to drink Champagne, paint your nails and giggle like, well, a girl.

Recently I did this exact thing with my dear friend, Mona T, who also happens to be my boss at Sultanate of Oman Tourism. Our office had been nominated for a big, fancy industry award so we needed to get our frocks on in style.

My friends at Vibe had invited me to check out their new Look Polished package so this seemed like the perfect time to test it out.

My first impression of the hotel was a good one. There are hot pink couches in the foyer. Yes, PINK. You don’t see that every day. What’s more, there’s nary a creepy pastel in sight. The bedspreads in the room have bold black and white stripes, the decor is tonal chic and to my great delight, there was a fully stocked mini-bar, tea-making gear and yes, complimentary nail polish for my shamefully shabby talons.

On the downside, I didn’t stay out and party all night after we won International Tourism Board of the Year (not that I am bragging or anything) because I had the kind of  ‘flu that would kill a man. On the upside, I got to enjoy the many charms of the room at Vibe Sydney. I especially appreciated the quiet as I laid my pounding, snotty head down for a nice, long sleep.

If you want to stay in Sydney and party without breaking the bank, Vibe Sydney is a really good option. It’s a five minute walk from Central Station, Oxford St, Chinatown and the Capitol Theatre, 10 minutes from the CBD and 15 minutes from Kings Cross.
