Where do you want to go in life?
Imagine that your brain is a GPS and you need to program in an address.
Where do you want to go?
You need this information because your brain really is (metaphysically) a GPS. It will try very hard to take you where it thinks you want to go.
The human ability to fixate on things is remarkable. Have you ever thought you might be pregnant and started to see babies everywhere? Or broken up with someone and started seeing their make and model of car at every traffic light?
I really like looking for – and finding – four leaf clovers. I have been doing it ever since I was a little kid and I am slightly obsessed by it. Hence, whenever I walk past a patch of clover I can’t help but look. Here’s the thing: I’m really good at finding four leaf clovers. It could be practice but, more than anything, I think it’s just that I actually look for them.
Figure out what you want and program it into your brain. If you don’t give clear instructions, you could wind up driving the wrong way down the freeway in a city with no right turns.
