I remember getting a cleaner when I lived with my ex. It was the result of many, many arguments that finally resulted in, ‘Fine, let’s pay someone!’
Our cleaner lasted all of two sessions. She was a lovely South American who was in Australia to study dentistry and subsequently decided that she didn’t need the money that much.
Apart from Google and mailbox drops, how on earth do you find a cleaner? I don’t currently need one because our apartment is the size of a postage stamp but I genuinely believe that investing in a cleaner can save relationships, relieve parenting stress and lead to a much happier life if you don’t have a lot of time to devote to Domestos.
Just for us, Helpling Australia has put together a list of ‘The 30 Filthiest Tourist Attractions on the Planet’. While it might not come as a shock that the streets of Delhi are less than spotless, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre are surprising additions.
Both places are on many a bucket list, but according to Helpling, they’re filled with grubby handrails and litter left behind by tourists. The London Underground and New York’s Natural History Museum get a bad rap too, as germ ridden attractions that tourists normally flock to, due to number of places that people are likely to touch with unwashed hands. So if you’re not looking to return home with more than a photograph, maybe the hand sanitiser isn’t such a bad idea after all
